here, there, and everywhere
The Well has had a busy couple of weekends. There were several interesting observations and some exciting new ventures are underway. Returned to Zeppelin Hall for a Ratcliffe and Rico birthday extravaganza. There were a ton of fellow drinkers present and at one point I had to stop to appraise the situation. I realized then that I was actually drinking a beer while standing in line for beer. Amazing. Anyway, these two will soon be starring in the much anticipated Cliffe on Cliff spin-off, Cliffe ‘n Cakes.

I could just see us pitching that to a room full of television execs. I’ve got the first ad already written:
Coming this Fall to FX…You loved him in Cliffe on Cliffe, but now he’s living with a Filipino mixed martial artist. Can they live together without someone getting choked out? One’s got at least two cell phones on him at all times, the other sleeps on the couch…Cliffe ‘n Cakes…Wednesdays this Fall on FX.
Both are also currently filming movies. Rico will be the lead role in a straight to DVD sequel to Half Baked. The film is yet to be officially named, but sources say it will either be Return of the Guy on the Couch or Bizcochos: The Rise of Rico Cakes. Ratcliffe will be starring in a new thriller in which he plays a super tech addict who manages to actually physically merge with his Blackberry to take over the world. Think Lawnmower Man for the next generation.
